With the increasing usage of and reliance on EMR-emitting devices, the debate about potential health risks continues to rage. Unfortunately, like the cigarette industry in decades past, electronics manufacturers continue to obfuscate and deny in order to preserve their multi-billion dollar businesses.
The message is getting out despite industry pressure, and people are beginning to demand tools with which to minimize their risks. Enter Cary Subel and Alaey Kumar, two 26 year-olds from Southern California. The pair used crowdfunding to create a line of cell phone and laptop cases that can reduce exposure by up to 99%.
