IBE’s founder and eternal inspiration Helmut Ziehe passed away quietly and without pain on 17 January 2013, surrounded by family and friends. His widow and best friend Susannah Ziehe asks that, in lieu of flowers and other heartfelt expressions, donations be made to the Helmut Ziehe Scholarship Fund, a program Helmut put into place before his death to introduce students into IBE’s Building Biology curriculum whom might otherwise not have the financial resources to attend.
